Hereby is the successful story of the International Trusteeship System adopted through United Nations Resolution 1541 where Australia acted as a Trustee for the Trust Territories of Cocos (Keeling) Islands, Nauru, Papau and Territory of New Guinea.
Various end of colonization process, options and avenue has been used in this case such as Referendum of self-determination, Constitutional convention and an appealed to the United Nations.
